2. Collection of General Data and Information

We use the free web analytics software programmes AWStats and Report Magic in order to be able to statistically evaluate our website. They are used for evaluating log files created by web servers on the basis of visitor requests. The programmes do not use cookies for the evaluation. The statistical analysis is carried out via the log files which also contain IP addresses. As a rule, this data cannot be used to identify specific individuals. In addition, the information is not merged with other data sources.

In detail, the following is recorded: IP address, name of file retrieved, date and time of the retrieval, volume of data transmitted, message whether the data retrieval was successful, message possibly why a retrieval was unsuccessful, operating system and browser used, website from which the user visited us.

Unlike other statistical programmes, AWStats and Report Magic do not transmit any data to an external server. The software is installed on your own hosting package. Hence, the transfer of data abroad is prevented as our server is located in Germany.

 

3. Contacting us via the website

Due to legal regulations the VAPiAR website contains information allowing quick electronic contact with our company and direct communication with us. This includes a general address of the so-called electronic mail (email address). If a person concerned contacts us by email or via the contact form, the personal data transmitted voluntarily by this person will be automatically stored for the purpose of processing or contacting this person. The data controller processes and stores personal data of this person only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of such storage. The personal data will not be passed on to third parties.
